Slimming World Magazine on your phone!

Slimming World Magazine, the UK’s most popular diet and lifestyle title, has launched a new app enabling readers to download the magazine to read on their phone or tablet.

The app comes just two weeks after latest ABC figures showed a 15.5% growth year-on-year, making Slimming World Magazine the 14th most actively purchased title in the UK.

The digital version of the magazine is available as an app on iPhone and iPad through the App store and on Android phones and tablets via Android Market. It is not available for the Blackberry, but PC and Mac users can access the digital version of the magazine via www.pocketmags.com (direct link here).

The app costs just £2.49, with the first issue free. Readers can then choose whether to purchase additional issues of the magazine, including any of the 2011 back issues and any future issues going forward. A digital magazine subscription is also available at £14.99 for a 7 issue subscription or £28.99 for a 14 issue subscription.

“We’re delighted to be able to bring Slimming World Magazine to the digital market,” says editor and publisher, Elise Wells.

“At a time when many magazines have been forced to cut back, we continue to move forward with new innovations and investment in high quality content. We constantly work to engage our readers with the most inspiring success stories, delicious healthy food recipes and practical suggestions for getting active, while giving the unique Slimming World support we know is needed for people to overcome the emotional and psychological challenges of losing weight.

“We hope that the new on-the-go version of the magazine will attract an even wider audience to access this content and will further cement our position as the UK’s leading diet and lifestyle magazine.”

Slimming World continues to invite feedback on its mobile applications. Please email suggestions to public.relations@slimming-world.com
