About me
I joined Slimming World out of sheer desperation! I'd tried all the other plans but I was always STARVING! I struggled with having to 'count' fruit when I know how good fruit is for you! Thankfully Slimming World had it all figured out! I've never eaten so much food and I've never felt so good :0)
Since joining Slimming World, I've eaten more food than I've ever eaten before - and I'm still losing weight. I'm a primary school teacher and being overweight attracted various harsh comments from some of the pupils. Now however, it's a different story. I actually enjoy taking the PE classes now - and that's saying something!
I was a member online originally (because I live in the Republic of Ireland, and at the time there were no groups here). I was then a group member in Newry and a member in Slough, UK. The support of the Consultants and the members alike was fantastic - I'd never experienced it ever before. It really kept me motivated and determined to succeed.
Now I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime - my own group! I'm opening my first group in November 2009 and I can't wait! Slimming World is coming to Dublin and I know it will be a huge success.
