Plain fat-free yogurt, Greek or regular style, adds tang and creaminess to all sorts of recipes—frozen treats included. Combine it with chopped fresh or frozen fruit and a touch of no-calorie granulated sweetener, then freeze into ice-pop molds for a portable snack that’s ideal for enjoying outside. While we’ll never get tired of juicy fresh fruit, certain varieties like stone fruit, mangoes, melons, and grapes take on a unique and refreshing taste and texture when frozen, making them a treat you can feel good about eating.
You can freeze a whole bunch of grapes as is, but cut melon into wedges or cubes first. To save time on prep, simply buy pre-cut peaches or mango from the freezer aisle, then enjoy the cooling, mouthwatering chunks right from the bag.
Turn this morning staple into a cooling treat by freezing brewed coffee into popsicle molds or, if you don’t have them, small paper cups. Before freezing, cover the tops with foil and insert a popsicle stick into the center—the foil will help the stick stand up straight. Or prevent your iced cup of joe from getting watered down by replacing normal ice cubes with ones made from coffee: Just pour brewed coffee into an ice-cube tray, freeze, and use as you would ice!
