Perfecting the fruit and yogurt parfait

Parfaits are a terrific breakfast option to have at the ready: they’re quick and easy, can be made the night before, and the cool mixture of creamy yogurt, fruit and crunchy cereal is perfect for warm-weather mornings.

With Slimming World’s healthy eating plan, fat-free plain yogurt and fresh or frozen fruit are what we call Free Food—this is food you can eat to satisfy your appetite, without any counting, weighing or measuring. Using these versatile ingredients, there are parfait possibilities aplenty!

Start with a base of fat-free plain yogurt: Go Greek for a thicker parfait, or opt for regular yogurt for a softer texture. Stir in cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg, a teaspoon of no-calorie granulated sweetener, or extracts like vanilla or almond for a flavor boost.

Have fun with fruit: This is where you can get really creative! Pick and pair fresh or frozen fruit for (almost!) endless combinations:

Layer and top with a little crunch: Once you layer your yogurt and fruit, you can add something crunchy to top it off and give some nice texture.
