Our flexible healthy eating plan, called Food Optimizing, makes losing weight easy and enjoyable. There’s no calorie counting and no tiny portions—just healthy everyday foods you’ll find at the grocery store and hundreds of recipes for filling, family-friendly meals.
We’ll help you make changes to how you shop, cook and eat, so you’ll lose weight without ever feeling hungry or deprived.
Food Optimizing is based on the science of satiety (how filling a food is) and energy density (how many calories per gram a food has). Free Food is filling and low in calories—it keeps us feeling fuller for longer, and naturally reduces calorie intake. This means you can eat them in unlimited amounts—and lose weight* without hunger or deprivation.
No food is banned at Slimming World, so the short answer is yes! We offer no false promises, though—for weight loss success, you will need to make changes to the way you shop, cook, eat and eat out, so you’ll likely find yourself choosing fruit, veggies, lean protein and grains more often.
There’s no calorie counting with Slimming World! By filling up on unlimited amounts of Free Food, which is low in energy density and highly filling, you’ll naturally lower your calorie intake without counting a thing. To protect your weight loss and keep from feeling deprived, we ask members to weigh and measure Healthy Extras and Syns.
*Your weight loss will vary according to your individual circumstances and how much you have to lose.
